Hog Mob Devotional – 1 Peter 4:3
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Ephesians 5:8
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Those of us who claim to be new creations in Christ, are we TRULY living as such? Or simply making a boisterous claim with no validity behind it? In Peter it says those who walk in lasciviousness, lusts, revellings, idolatries etc etc are WALKING in the WILL of the Gentiles, but Ephesians tells us we were sometimes darkness, but NOW are light, therefore a CHANGE of lifestyle MUST accompany the claim of a new creation. One simply cannot claim to be light and yet still live in darkness, one cannot simply claim to be living out the will of YAH while walking out the will of the Gentiles. May our profession of faith be validated by our lifestyle and may our lifestyle be pleasing before YAH in faith. Not double minded or unstable.
